Have been looking for a reasonable compact AM/FM for my wifes Office. Didn't want a dock just an AM/FM radio.
Sounds way better than the larger one it replaced.
I had planned on spending more and getting less.
She loves it and maybe sometime the extra features will get used.

The Memorex (MP3851BLK) Portable CD Boombox with AM/FM Radio, Black by Memorex was just the gift that I wanted for my mother. I needed a radio that had a digital display so that my mother would have no trouble finding the radio station that she was looking for. The setup was easy once I read the instructions. The sound was crisp and clear and quite distinct. The length of the cord was just perfect for my mother to locate it on the top of her refrigerator so that it would be safe from being broken by the busy grandchildren. The boombox has a very nice sleek appearance. I am really satisfied with this boombox. Last but not least, the price was great.

I bought this for my daughter to use in her garage art studio. It worked great for the first three times and two weeks after purchasing I went outside to put on her CD and it won't even power on. I tried multiple outlets, our power is fine, there isn't a reset button of any kind. Now it is just junk and since I don't have the box I can't return it!!
