This little device worked right out of the box. It works well on both batteries and AC.

The down side is that with the supplied adapter it would not fit my iPhone 4S. I removed the adapter and it works well. Adapter appears to be for an iPod. I don't have an iPod. I have a Zune and it works great using the line-in. The sound is very good for the price paid.
