Q: The database I work in was written in Access. I am purchasing 2010... does each co-worker have to purchase their own Access in order to work the database or can I install it in each computer? Asked on 9/13/2011 by Tally from Eureka, California Know the answer? Answer this question 0 answers Q: Our office has Windows XP and Microsoft Office 2003. We are interested in Access 2010 for inventrory tracking. We would like to install it on 4 computers. I saw that Access 2010 can be purchased by itself (and used with Microsoft Office 2003) or with Microsoft Office Professional 2010. We would like to keep the cost as low as possible, what would be the best route for our company to take? Do you have Microsoft Office Professional 2010 or Access 2010 that can be installed on 4 computers? Is Access 2010 purchased alone going to be compatible with Excel 2003? Asked on 8/1/2011 by Anonymous Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: You would need 4 copies of Access 2010 in order to install it on 4 computers. This is because you need 4 licenses. It will be cheaper to go this route. If you purchase 5 licenses you can save money with a discount. If you are wanting to upgrade to a newer version of Microsoft Office, then buying copies of Microsoft Office Professional 2010 would be your best bet. Upgrading as a whole will give you newer versions of all of the Microsoft Office Products. Finally, yes, you can use Microsoft Access 2010 with Excel 2003. You may need to download a compatibility pack from Microsoft.com Answered on 8/8/2011 by Anonymous from None
