Decent Hardware, Disappointing Software

The software interface is non-standard but "pretty" and works well on a Windoze machine. There are no MAC or Linux drivers or configuration software included. It does function at base resolution (640x480) on the MAC with Apple's excellent built-in USB drivers. Low light performance is much better than expected if you can tolerate the latency (blurring of things in motion) which is considerably worse than equal quality Logitech hardware. If using on a PC, I would recommend buying an Logitech 9000 instead. If you want to monitor a space using an NVR program, it's adequate with a detailed picture. Sux as a webcam without additional SW. My recommendation to buy is for geeks only. For Mom, Granny and Sis, buy a Mac instead - a better webcam is built in.
