Works in Win7

I don't understand Cnyboater's comment about this Audio Device not being compatible with Win7. I run Win7 64 Bit Ultimate and have not had any issues with this Mic/Headphone and I would recommend it to any gamer wanting a quick way to communicate durring fast action shoot them ups. As a hobby musician, I am VERY picky about mics and headphones, but still I think this mic/headphone serves its purpose. Pros: 1) It works will with Win7 Speed Dictation.2) It works well in Win7, but I don't think I tested the acompanying software.3) It's compact, efficient, and cheap. Cons:1) It feels uncomfortable to me, but I have also been spoiled by Radio Shack Optimus Pro-40 and Audio Technica ATH-M40fs headphones (quality consumer headphones)2) Mic and headset both sound a little muddy to me but I have also be spoiled by the above headset and Semi-Pro Marshall MXL990/991 phantom powered condensor mics. If you are a gamer or secretary and you just want a quick way to talk with your buddies or dictate, this is probably a pretty good buy for you (and it works in Win7). On the other hand, if you are a professional musician, you might want to sink a couple hundred elsewhere.BTW: In general, Microsoft makes pretty good consumer grade hardware. Remember the Sidwinder joysticks? They were the best on the market!!!

I have two of these, they are used by my son and I for listening to music, gaming and voice chat. 1 has done well, the usb connection is convenient though the lack of plug and play is a little frustrating.(The software to install is easy to follow. Though the voice chat program Microsoft included is a pain) Headset 2 developed a pecularity in a weeks time the sound shifts between the ear pieces, then sometimes plays on both, during conversations. It's distracting.
Ear pieces are a little small they don't seal around the ear but more comfortable than the cheaper ones with the spongy stuff over them. I've had good luck with the mic... it carries sound much better than others I've tried.

Staples charges way to much for this head set. Everywhere else you can get this exact same head set brand new for under $25.00. They are charging [$], that's $14.00 more than everywhere else.

Great headphones and mic! I use this for Online Meetings and it's perfect for this. The mic is clear and the headphones sound great! It's comfortable too. It's great to block out most of the office noise and keep part of the conversation private. I bought two: one for home/travel and one for work.

Very nice headset, that I purchased a second one for another member of the family. Only one note is that this uses a USB port, so you must turn it on at the speaker setting.
