          We use this product to help us optimize stops for service calls from residential customers. It also shows us at a glance any service calls received in the same area. We are definitely more efficient in our service roster and now can more easily adjust the schedule on the fly.

          I have been a MapPoint user since 2004, having owned the 2004 version and 2006 version. I have always found this to be a crucial tool for my business, however, I just wasted [$] on an upgrade to MapPoint 2010. There are tons of missing roads in my area, many of which have been in existence since 2007 or 2008. How is this possible with a 2010 product? I do not live in a rural area, I live in a metro area of over 1.2 million people. Many of the missing roads are already available in Bing Maps online, which I understand is updated more frequently. Still, no excuse. MapPoint should be a subscription-based product, similar to QuickBooks or Norton. Purchase the 2010 software, and receive map updates throughout the year of your subscription. Renew your subscription for $150, or upgrade to the 2011 product for $200-$250. Common sense. Some of the added functionality in MapPoint 2010 is great compared to 2006, but this is MAPPING SOFTWARE, so the maps should be the most up-to-date available in the market.

              I needed a software that stayed linked to the database information so that when the database was updated I wouldn't have to re do all the maps, it would be an easy update. MapPoint does this and more. The only thing I would change is the WYSIWYG print feature, it actually prints a larger area than what appears on the screen and makes the focalpoint smaller.

              Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

              I was disappointed that many addresses were unmatched. I don't see a way to include the unmatched addresses in the map aside from manually inputting them.
