I was a bit nervous about this purchase because I had read some reviews stating that installation was problematic and Microsoft wasn't much help. This turned out not to be the case; I consider myself "challenged" when it comes to downloading, updating, troubleshooting my computer, but I did this myself in no time with no problems.

After so much hype about the new Windows 7 and the new Office pack I bought the top of the line Ultimate and the professional office pack. When I started using these I realized that it was a waste of money as the products are XP with color change with the same lousy non functioning MS software. If you must use this let it come with the PC you are buying but otherwise don't waste your money on the actual software.

I ordered this version because I wasnted Outlook. After I realized that I really didn't need it and could have used the Microsoft mail but I am used to Outlook. The Microsoft bundle comes preloaded on the laptop and you have a set trial period but if you purchase it you activate it with a key. I did that but it still showed the trial date but said activate. I was worried it would stop working but has not. All in all a good product if you like Microsoft and that is what you are used to. There are other products that are probably just as good.

  No, Microsoft Office is currently not available for download. This is designed for use with 1 new PC preloaded with Office 2010. When you purchase this item, you will receive a product key card, no disc, with instructions on how to enter the code.

  This product is for computers that come with a trial version of Office 2010 installed. Purchasing this item will only get you a licence with no install media. You can download the trial from Microsoft but it is a fairly large download.

  The only downside is not having the physical CD for downloading. Most versions of Microsoft Office have trial version software available on Microsofts website and then you can activate the full version by using the product key on the card that we deliver. Some people do like having the CD, with the CD you can download the program without internet connection.
