Perfect for home use. I used to use the free OpenOffice, but it had some cpmatibility problems with heavily formatted documents and presentations. The only answer was to go to MS Office, or have everyone else in the world switch to OpenOffice.

Per license, the cost for Office Home & Student is ideal. It has no problems opening or saving documents from earlier versions of Office.

The interface took some getting used to. I was accustomed to the Office 2003 style interface. After a week of use, though, I find the new "ribbon" interface is more efficient than the old interface. Give it time, and I think everyone would learn that it is indeed a good interface.

My favorite part of the suite is OneNote. You can use it like a fancy clipboard, but it is much more powerful and useful.

For the price, you can't go wrong with Office Home & Student.

Loved 2007. Hated Vista. This is very difficult to navigate. Many steps for several tasks that should take 3 or less steps. I expected a real user friendly, & finally affordable program. I was very dissappointed. I went back to 2007 system. KISS!

I was a little nervous about the installation after reading some of the other ratings. However, it was straight forward and I did not have any issues. During the installation, I got a message indicating that I needed another operating system. I was able to load the upgrade pack that I needed and it was smooth sailing from there.
