I bought this set because my previous mouse's scroll wheel was starting to disintegrate. Setup on Windows 7 was effortless, just plugged in the receiver and made sure the batteries (included) were in.

The keyboard is comfortable. It has lifts in the front, not the rear. That means the keyboard lies flat or angles back. Supposedly, that's the new ergonomic thing. After a few days with the tilted keyboard, I'm back to it lying flat. The wave styling of the keyboard gives it a nice definition, though, and I don't miss having the back of the keyboard raised.

The keys are responsive, but I would have liked to get a membrane based keyboard to make typing even softer and quieter. Still, this is a quiet keyboard, and the keys don't seem to take a lot of pressure to depress.

The mouse is... adequate. The left and right buttons click well, again with decent responsiveness. The scroll wheel works, although the vertical scrolling in Firefox isn't as smooth as I would like and I haven't found a setting to adjust it. The biggest problem with the mouse is its "Windows 8" button. It is placed too far forward for your thumb to get to without moving your whole hand. Not that big a deal, since I'm still on 7, but it is a feature I won't use because it just isn't well placed.

    So overall, a nice set.

I do not like the curve on the text, and it doesn't seem as easy to type on it versus a regular flat keyboard. The only thing I like about it, is the comfort wrist support. The mouse seems to have too much play in it. Not easily moved around where I want it. Sometimes I have to lift it up off the table and move it to where I want it and try again. I even tried to adjust the settings on it and still not right. For $60 I want something that I don't have to play around with, to get it to work. I bought it to try, not impressed and will contact HP and just get a new keyboard and mouse under my original warranty on it.

Comments about Microsoft Sculpt Comfort Desktop Keyboard:

Bought this for my desktop docking station, after my company "forgot" to order this for me. Glad they did, because I am sure they wouldn't have gotten me on this nice! I use it daily and love the look and feel of this setup. Highly recommend!!!

Comments about Microsoft Sculpt Comfort Desktop Keyboard:

This was my first Microsoft keyboard purchase and I am very pleased.
It truly is comfortable. The mouse has a nice feel in your hand. The keyboard sits a little different than other keyboards but after getting past the change, I like it. I think the ergonomics are better and for the price was a good value.

    Good keyboard, oversized mouse

Comments about Microsoft Sculpt Comfort Desktop Keyboard:

The keyboard is very nice and has a pleasantly textured wrist-rest. I also like the smaller dongle compared to the Microsoft 5000. Unfortunately, I am not a fan of the mouse due to how long it is. It functions well and has nice scrolling features, but the thumb-swipe space for moving back and forth though web pages is too far forward. I am a male, with normal sized hands, yet with my palm on the mouse, my thumb does not naturally rest on the place to swipe for navigation, thus making the feature essentially useless (unless you have long fingers). Otherwise, it is a nice set and the keyboard is actually an improvement over the MS 5000.

Comments about Microsoft Sculpt Comfort Desktop Keyboard:

I got this keyboard because of it's design. The soft part below the keyboard is very helpful specially if you use computer a lot. But, after like 1 month I noticed there is a huge delay within my mouse and keyboard interactions.... changed the battery nothing changed ... going to try Microsoft customer service ...

Comments about Microsoft Sculpt Comfort Desktop Keyboard:

I like this product. It is so easy to use. The only complaint is that I am a lousy typist and the CAPS LOCK button gets clicked without meaning to.
I use it with my laptop. Since you only plug into the laptop , it is easy to take the mouse with me when out of the office.
