Recently updated to Ver. 2010 and use it to plan all of our trips. Frequently use it to find local addresses. This is a quality program and I find it extremely easy to use. Recently used the GPS voice commands from S&T on my laptop to locate my hotel in a congested area and it took me right to the door. Printed maps and directions from S&T are very detailed and helpful for travel to all locations and showing places. I will never be without this program prior to or on a trip.

I would like to be able to receive or download map updates between versions. However, this is the most complete and accurate mapping system I have used.

I have used S&T for years on my home pc. I upgraded to 2011 to get new maps and hopefully better voice. I find it much better to plan a route using S&T than my GPS because I can easily see the whole route on S&T. I can also easily check distance using various routes. The voice commands on S&T are somewhat unintelligable. The spoken street names are not smooth flowing. When you are at a certain distance to the next turn, S&T will tell you what the next turn is, but as you approach the turn, there is no further guidance. S&T does annouce the exact street address when you approach your final destination.

I would not recommend S&T to be used as a primary GPS. My Navigon GPS is far superior in voice commands, which is what I want while I am driving so as not to be distracted looking at the GPS and running off the road. I would recommend it for trip planning.

    • No changes from last one
    • Not Much Information

Comments about Microsoft Streets & Trips:

A rip-off! There are no changes from the 2009 version. There are highways in my area that were changed over 3 years ago and still have the "old" numbers in this version. Places are still listed that have been out of business for years. This is just a relabeling of prior versions. If I could I would ask for a refund.
