Q: If my windows 7 operating system has expired which operating system should I purchase; upgrade or full version Asked on 2/17/2012 by Anonymous Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: If your Windows 7 expired it must have been a free trial version, you would have to upgrade to the full version. If given the option, you may be able to upgrade from your computer. From the start menu choose Windows update to see what your options are. Answered on 2/21/2012 by Community Answer from None
Q: If the full version can only be used for 1 pc, what is the difference between this version and the OEM version? The OEM is only able to be applied to 1 pc and the Full version can only be applied to 1 pc, then why would you pay the extra $100.00 for the full version rather than the $99.00 version of the OEM? Asked on 1/13/2012 by Anonymous Know the answer? Answer this question 2 answers A: I have researched and was not able to locate the OEM item. Answered on 2/13/2012 by Christina.M from Staples A: If it's like past Windows versions: OEM = original equipment manufacturer. You must be one to buy that version. If you cheat, and your machine dies, #1 no support from MS, #2, you can't reinstall it on a new replacement machine. I think you can use it as a restore disc for that PC as long as you haven't made extensive hardware changes. Full version = MS support, and the legal right to have it installed on any one machine at a time. PC dies, build new one, reinstall, re-register for free. As often as you desire, just so it's one at a time only. Answered on 4/9/2012 by Low Budget from Pottstown, PA

Q: Does this program run well on a MAC? Asked on 5/3/2011 by Anonymous Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: Unfortunately this question does not have a simple answer. Yes, this operating system can run on a MAC computer but you will have to run it with both OS X and Windows 7 (Dualboot). Once installed the operating system will work well but the installation and booting can be tricky. If you are not experienced with computers I would not suggest trying this. Q: I have a netbook that had windows 7 starter. my laptop that has windows vista and my pc (older model) that crashed and i cant find the cd for the operating system it had on it. What should I get. Asked on 3/1/2011 by Tired and Confused from Forestville,MD Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: This software should work on the laptop that currently has Vista installed, (check system requirements prior to install). For the netbook, you will need to purchase the product key and an internet link, since netbooks do not have a disk drive. As for the older pc, you will need to check the specifications such as RAM and Video card to ensure that the new Windows 7 will work on the current system layout.
