Keyboard is a good weight and feels more solid than many keyboards in this price range. Key action is a bit too stiff with too much key travel for my taste, but then I am coming from a slimmer Logitech keyboard. Your fingers will get a workout. I like the diamond pattern on the palm rest area, but that's a matter of taste. It is nice that it's a matte material and not a gloss that will wear down from use. The delete key is a regular-sized key instead of the larger format I prefer from Logitech keyboards, so be aware of that--I hit the End key way too often so far. I haven't used the macros yet, so no comment on that.

On the mouse, I like the smooth scroll wheel action a lot better than my older Logitech mouse from the 520 set. The mouse is a bit too big in my hand--it feels too tall, which is a weird feeling.

Overall this set is worth the 50 bucks or so that you can get on a deal, mainly because of the build quality and mouse scroll feel. Otherwise it's a bargain set.

Given my experience, I can't give this a higher rating. The mouse is solidly built, but I get too much hesitation on screen when I move it. The jerky motion makes it difficult to place accurately on my work or in a game. Likewise, the keyboard doesn't always keep up with my typing. I can type in 8 letters and only have 4-5 show up on screen. It does seem to be positionally sensitive. The keyboard & mouse are only 4 feet away from the computer, so I'm wondering if there might be interference from something running in the background (Norton?) on occasion or if there are too many "things" that are interruptiung the signal. I'm still using the keyboard (I found a good spot), but I gave up on the mouse and went back to my wired one.

The receiver is too easy to break, case for it is very flimsy. Have to send it back to Microsoft for warranty, could not exchange it at Staples. Stick with Logitech for wireless products.

Nice but wish it had a caps lock indicator light.
How am I suppose to know if my caps lock is on when typing in a password. Tried to adjust mouse wheel, but can't get it to slow down. Just touching it zooms too fast for me.

I love it! I can move the keyboard out of the way when not in use, and I am not limited to the length of the keyboard. The keys are easily pressed, but yet not too sensitive.
