I found this mouse to be quite bulky and uncomfortable. It is really too large to slip into a laptop bag. It is a little awkward to use as it somehow just doesn't fit right in my hand. My hands aren't exactly large, but I never before had a problem with a computer mouse being too large for comfortable use. I also find that somehow, I am not exactly sure how, but I occasionally right-click when I left-click. I think it may be because of how the left and right buttons are all the same piece of plastic and my fingers just don't reach far enough down the front of the mouse. I can't MAKE it do it, but it happens at a rate of about once per 100 clicks.

What frustrates me most about this mouse is that there is no way to turn it off other than putting the receiver into the bottom of the mouse, so you have to unplug it every time you are finished using it. And it doesn't just snap into the bottom of the mouse, you have to actually pay attention to how you are putting it in, and double check that its in all the way, or the mouse won't turn off. It only goes in one way, and it isn't exactly obvious how it goes in. Not a big deal, but it is a real nuisance.

Bottom Line: I bought it when I bought my laptop, expecting to use it a lot. I had always used a desktop computer, and was never super comfortable with touchpads the few times I had used a laptop. However, this mouse now spending most of its time serving as a paper weight. I only use it rarely when I need the added functionality and accuracy of a mouse. Over all, a waste of money. I am sure there are better mice on the market.

Bought cause it feels great - perfect for the casual web or office user. But it was too limited for button customization for advanced programs like CAD, 3D modeling, and graphics.

I'm writing this review, ironically with this very mouse, since it's starting to get a little beat up and worn out from normal wear and tear (4.5 years at work, Dell/Windows), and so I'm soon on the market for a new replacement. This mouse has worked well for my left hand, though it has no particular orientation. I've never had any major issues with tracking, surfaces or comfort. Perhaps my only annoyance is occasionally having to reset the connection once or twice a year (not sure why). I'll definitely look into another similar model.

Regular home use, also use a wireless at office. It is very convenient and accurate, but has a heavier feel. Draw at computer all day, home designer, and have not noticed any problems with heaviness, but some may. It is far more convenient not dealing with the wire and worth the heavier feel. This model is also large enough to feel comfortable in my hand.

I have owned several versions of this mouse and one Logitech. This mouse is far superior to the Logitech in battery life. I really like the way it feels in my hand. The only problem I had with this mouse is that the software included didn't work with my Windows 7 operating system. I am using the mouse without installing the software, and it works fine. I can use this mouse with either hand.

After only 8 months of use it suddenly died, no power. Changed batteries twice, followed all troubleshooting procedures to no avail. No mention whatsoever in Microsoft's site as to what to do if mouse won't power up. Warranty is 3 years, but it must be returned (if possible) in original package with UPC symbol. [...]
