We have a large noisy manufacturing facility. Before we bought 4 of these we were constantly running from the offices to the "back" to talk to the guys. Now everything is done on the radios. Very pleased with the radios. Great price, great value. Saving us a lot of time and aggravation.

Elderly mother lives 3 miles away, thought I could maybe let her call me if she needed help. Not useable at 2 miles out. I live in North Carolina in the real world. There is a lake and a forested area between my home and my mother's, 3 road miles away (probably 2 miles as the radio signal flies). The lake is flat and both houses are higher than the lake. I think it is not a bad area for a 26 mile radio to work but we hear nothing but static at 2 miles out and nothing at all at 3 miles. Maybe if I lived on a mountain top?!!
