I keep this in my travel bag and have used it to charge my phone, transfer photos from my camera and my phone, and connect external DVD drives. It is so small that you can carry it anywhere - I don't have to wind up 18" of cable every time I use it. Very handy.

I bought this as I use my phone as a modem to connect my computer to the internet and as a charger. I thought the length would be fine as I use the laptop on a desk, but it is really short. In addition, I thought it would be a faster connection, but I haven't noticed that - if anything it seems to drop a lot more often. It does charge quickly, but not that impressed.

Bought this for my daughter to solve her issues copying MP3's to her Samsung Galaxy Slider phone. The factory cable never worked, and another cable I had for my Blackberry also failed to work. This one works perfectly.

I purchased this to charge my phone through USB port but my phone was not compatible as I have no syncing capability. Decided this was not the correct cable for my application, needed a charge only cable, or a new phone. Returned the cable. Great if you can charge/sync with your computer or other usb device.

I needed a cable to connect computer to my Garmin GPS for map updates. Somewhere, I suppose Garmin had given me one, but it was lost. This is perfect, high speed, nice and short so doesn't take up more desktop space or drawer space in between updating episodes. $20 was a lot for what it is, but a cheaper one (USB to micro USB) from a competitor would not even recognize the Garmin on my computer. So reliability is worth the extra!
