I listen to books, podcasts and itunes while driving. Easy to use. The only issue was getting it to stay attached while my iphone was in its case. I had to trim off the sides of the hole in the bottom of my iphone case to make the transmitter fit more securely The unit is about 1/4 to wide on each side. Longer and narrower would have been a better fit.

I just downloaded Pandora and other internet radio type applications for my iPhone 4. I wanted to be able to listen to the said apps over my car speakers while I drive to work. So, I bought this product thinking that it would work but it did not. It is only good for songs on your iPod playlist; not for satellite or internet radio. I think I just wasted my money on this product.

Thought this would be a good idea to charge and play my iPhone. Being that this was made by monster I thought it would be dependable. I was wrong the reception is fine if your car is parked. But moving on the freeway and city. The reception is horrible. I had tried numerous of combinations of stations to dial this in and the product failed to satisfy. If you like static this product is for you! Also the wireless device falls of my iPhone 4s when you plug in the mini USB plug to charge.

I would like to use this in a rental car while traveling - many times the cars do not have a "plug-in" ipod adapter. I have a 5th generaion nano and going to be traveling in Baja - any ideas ?

  There is no specific distance provided by the manufacturer, since different factors will cause the signal strength to vary. Monster does note that antenna location can affect signal strength, and that some vehicles have a metallic film in the windows that may make it more difficult to receive clear signals.
