I had the previous generation H710 which has the mic on the flip boom. That one did not cancel noise as well as this version due to the single mic design.

I was skeptical on the voice quality (out going) since they have moved the mic into the main ear piece rather than the flip boom. The outgoing voice quality is important to me since I take a lot of conference calls and I don't want people constantly asking me to repeat or get off the headset / speakerphone. Anyways no complaints on this headset, out going quality is great and incoming is nice and loud as usual.

Does Voice Calling Work?

I am looking for a replacement for a long-in-the-tooth Motorola 550. The Motorola 730 showed a significant improvement in incoming voice clarity and outgoing voice clarity was improved also but not drastically. I returned the product, however, due to a fatal flaw. The voice calling did not recognize my dialing requests so I could not get that very important (to me) function to work on my Blackberry. Voice calling on my previous Motorola 550 worked like a charm so I was surprised and disappointed with the poor voice calling performance of the 730. Maybe it will work for different phone models.

I purchased the Motorola H730 because I liked it's ergonomic design and compactness. Then I discovered that it had a long battery life and superb clarity of sound. It is comfortable to wear and use for long periods of time because of it's light weight and automatic features that allows voice dialing with very little interaction.

I have had 3 bluetooth headsets for about 7 years now. Two were Plantronics, one was the Motorola H720, the predecessor to this model, slightly less expensive now. All have a comfortable ear hook and earpiece and have equally great sound and performance. However, I always found myself reaching for the Motorola as the flip out microphone on it made it the easiest headset to quickly turn on and get on your ear if you're not already connected. Otherwise, the 3 products were equivalent if you keep it on your ear for convenience as all require pressing the button. But I also preferred the Motorola because when you took it off, you just flip the mouthpiece closed and didn't have to make sure the tiny light went out or changed colors. So when I sadly misplaced the Motorola H720, I felt the need to replace it with this on sale newer model as I like it the best.

To be honest, it's a good product. It's pretty much basic, no frills. It'll keep you from getting a ticket. And at this price..., there's no excuse for even a pure dummy to be driving around with a phone stuck to the side of their face.

  This headset is compatible with most LG phones (since you didn't state your model I say if it will work with yours), it doesn't work, you're unhappy with the fit & feel of the headset you can return it for a refund or credit.
