Q: Is this only ONE part to the Broadband internet connection, meaning we would ALSO need to purchase a Wireless Router too? There's NOT one integrated device that does everything? Otherwise it might be easier to purchase a simple Cable Modem and a Wireless (N) router unless this would be the same thing? Maybe somehow this device is better with Multi-media Streaming and VoIP applications to get the best performance with live data? Asked on 4/8/2013 by FeatureDriven from Nashua, NH Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: This product serves as a router, you do not need to buy an extra product. Answered on 4/8/2013 by Community Answer from None
Q: My current cable modem (provided by Charter) and wireless router keep dropping the internet signal. I have computers, TiVo, and Roku depending on the signal... so having to unplug, plug back in... in various sequences to massage the signal into working nearly every day is incredibly frustrating. Is this a modem/router problem that this product could help with, or something else? Asked on 11/26/2012 by Liz from Madison, WI Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: The first step is you should check with your provider to make sure there is a signal going to the modem and then into the router. It could be that one or the other is faulty and needs to be replaced. If the modem needs to be replaced, then this modem would more than likely fix your problem. However, if your modem is provided by your provider then they should cover the cost to replace it as well. Answered on 11/26/2012 by Community Answer from None

Q: Will this modem work with Mediacom ? I've bought other modems and they worked for a little while then all of a sudden they quit. Mediacom always says it is the modem, so Now I'm renting one from them and have had no problems. Sounds like they just wanted my rental fee. Asked on 7/2/2012 by Scott from United States Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: This should work with your Internet Provider. The answer to your question could be a range of things that will require a tech to come out and test your lines. I lived in an apartment complex roughly 6 years ago where I was going through modems at roughly 1 a month and constantly calling customer support with Internet Connection issues. When a tech actually tested the line coming in, the signal was 10X higher than it needed to be for a simple cable modem. They put splitters on the lines coming out from the wall and didn't have a problem thereafter. If it were me, I'd have your lines test, especially if you reside in an older apartment complex or house. Answered on 7/3/2012 by Community Answer from None

Q: I currently have this product provided by Time Warner. I am moving to where the service is provided by Charter. I believe this will work with Charter but want to be sure. Also, I have a new Net Gear 3800 router for my wireless network and it gets speeds of 300mps upload/download. When TW installed the modem they said it is also a wireless access point, so I would like to know if this is actually a wireless modem/router in one will that also give me the ability to run 2 separate wireless networks? Is there a different product I should consider? I do know it must be a Docsis 3.0 modem. I currently am paying for wide band and am getting wireless download speeds of 50mps+ and upload speeds of 10mps+. TW says that the service I am paying for will not have less than 50mps/10mps download and upload, Charter claims I will be getting 100mps/10mps download/upload when I sign up for their service. Is this the ideal product for me? Do I need the expanded wireless ability? Thanks Asked on 3/21/2012 by Anonymous Know the answer?
