Q: I am planning a movie night & need a projector for outside viewing on a blow up screen. Is this product ideal for this?? If not can you recommend one? Thanks, Rhiannon Asked on 4/4/2012 by Anonymous Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: The specifications are great 2000:1 ratio, 16.7 million colors, long bulb life and lightweight at 5.5 pounds. However the reviews and specs on the Epson EX5200 XGA LCD Projector are better and the price is about the same. Either one would be great, most any projector these days has outstanding display. Q: In the store the sales label said this unit would project standard or widescreen images. However, I saw nothing about that in the specs here on the website. Our program applications vary with our presenter, so we need to show the native 4x3 Standard or 16x9 Widescreen, depending on what the presenter plugs into the unit. Would someone please clarify that issue? Thanks very much. Asked on 1/5/2012 by Larry from Morro Bay, CA Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: The native resolution is XGA (1024 x 768) and native aspect ratio of 4:3, with a maximum resolution of UXGA (1600 x 1200). Unless the presenter is using a unit with a max reso larger then 16x12, you will have no issues with widescreen viewing. Even so, the presenter should be able adjust the settings of his/her unit to accommodate. Answered on 1/20/2012 by Darlene S from Staples
