Living in a four story house makes it a bit difficult to get Wi-Fi on all floors from a single router. I work a lot in a small office on the top floor and would lose the Wi-Fi signal at least every hour. I ordered this Range Extender and got it delivered quickly. Setup was very simple, especially pairing it with my Netgear router, took about 10 minutes following the simple instructions for set up. I now get 5 bars on my PC, tablet and wireless printer in my office and am so glad I got this product. It saves me so much time and frustration!

It should be noted that I was given this product free of charge to review.

This extender is what I needed. It gives me the coverage that I hadn't had and desired for a long time. With my current wireless router, I am not always getting its signal or it is weak throughout my house when in another room. Using this extender I am able to see the new signals everywhere in the house and there are constantly on.

A couple of confusing thing that has kept me wondering is why on some devices I can see both signals (2.4 and 5GHz) and on other devices I can only see the 2.4GHz signal. Also, I don't understand why on the extender only the 2.4GHz light is on but the 5GHz is not on. I can get the 5GHz to light up at times but it is usually off. Strange, I can get that signal to show on the devices but it doesn't light up on the extender, making me think it wasn't really connecting as the wireless device shows. Again, why does it show I am connected on the 5GHz signal on my wireless device when the light on the extender is not lit??? Thus, I have spent countless frustrating hours trying to get both issues but still it won't work properly or as expected for me. The instructions for set up are supposed to be simple and easy to do. I am not naïve about setting up things but due to these questions of only being able to see one signal and not the other on some devices and the 5GHz light not going on I could not get this to work using the "simple instructions". If I didn't care about these two things the setup would have been easy (plug and play) but I did care. Also, if you don't like the new extended names and other features (like trying to get all devices showing both signals) you have to figure out how to get into the settings. The support on their website didn't give me any more than the one page sheet that came with the device. I was able to finally get things to work by going into my router, finding the device on it and then configuring the extender from its IP address on my system. None of this was stated on the "simple instructions".

I did find that if I keep the extender near the wireless router I was able to get a stronger signal to other parts of the house than if I put the extender in those rooms standing by itself (as intended). I am guessing that the original signal from my router wasn't strong enough to get to these places thus the signal I got from the extender at these locations wasn't as strong as keeping it near the router. FYI, I did a speed check on both signals and found the 5GHz was faster but not as much as I expected. Also, the upload speed was always faster than the download speed. You would think it should be the other way around as it is on my PC using the original router.

Bottom line, I am able to get a constant single throughout my house where I wasn't able to in the past. So, I am happy (but still confused for the reasons above) to have coverage now.

This wifi range extender works better then any other extender Ive had. I have signal in the backyad and even in the garage. I would most defenitely recommend it to a friend. I actually dont think its bad lookwise either as others reviewed. Its not about looks for me I just want it to work well and it sure does! The connection is very stable and it was very easy to install. I honestly have no cons for this extender.

        Excellent WiFi Boost!!

Comments about NETGEAR AC1200 WiFi Range Extender EX6200-100NAS:

For full disclosure to everyone reading this review, I was sent a free sample of this product to test in my home, as I was experiencing significant signal problems with the equipment given by my carrier. The biggest problem that I experienced was the loss of signal when moving from room to room. The NETGEAR AC1200 extender absolutely resolved that problem in my home. The product is incredibly easy to install - you essentially just plug it in, let your computer find the extender, set up some personal settings, and you're done! It took less than five minutes.

I can now use wifi in every room in my house, and even in my (admittedly tiny) backyard for the warmer months. I have had the product for about 3 weeks now, and on only one occasion did the signal on the extender drop; however, it resolved within a few seconds.

Excellent product for those looking for something like this and would recommend it.

        No more dead zones!

Comments about NETGEAR AC1200 WiFi Range Extender EX6200-100NAS:

Disclaimer: I received this product as a free sample for the purpose of an unbiased review.

This product delivered in extending wifi into areas that were previously dead zones for our wifi connected devices. Instead of just half the home being able to receive the router's signal, now all 3 floors have steady and strong service.

The set-up was fairly intuitive and took about 10 minutes after reading through the one page instruction sheet. The red and black design is edgy and modern. The one drawback is that the signal light is encased in the body of the product instead of being easily viewed on the outer shell. Fortunately, I've not had to reboot this product. I'm happy with this item so far.

Comments about NETGEAR AC1200 WiFi Range Extender EX6200-100NAS:

Even though I received a free sample to review, this review reflects my honest opinion. I live in a six flat building and the internet service most of the time is interrupted frequently because of the big walls that block the Wifi connection. Once I set the Wifi extender up(which was super easy) I instantly had a great Wifi connection. Web surfing or doing just simple homework tasks used to be so difficult, it would take so long for pages to load because of the weak connection. But now with this awesome product, it not only saved me time but money. Without this Wifi extender I would have been forced to buy a hotspot for a better internet connection. When I first received this product I was skeptical not thinking it would do its job, but I was amazed at how not only easy it was to setup but also that it performed well. Overall, I would definitely recommend this product to everyone who is thinking about purchasing one of them, you won't be disappointed.

        Fits my needs perfectly

Comments about NETGEAR AC1200 WiFi Range Extender EX6200-100NAS:

I received this product free of charge to use and review, and I have been very pleased with this product. If I were required to return the product after testing it, I would purchase this same product with my own money. It is exactly what I needed.

Our wireless router is situated in the room above the garage in our two-story home. From the downstairs, only the 2.4GHz wireless had much of a signal, and the 5GHz network didn't have any strength at all downstairs. We previously utilized a TP-Link WiFi extender that worked with the electrical circuit in the house. It worked ok with extending the 2.4GHz, but still there wasn't a vast improvement in our wi-fi throughout the house.

Setting up this AC1200 was very simple. One push of a button on the AC1200, and another push of a button on my router. Setup complete. I moved the extender downstairs and put it in the entry-way's coat closet. Then I tested the connections using my phone throughout the house. I went to the farthest spot away from the router inside the house and searched for wireless networks. I found two new networks, one 2.4 and one 5GHz, named (myNetworkName2)_2GEXT and (myNetworkName5)_5GEXT. They each had much stronger signals than the network from the router directly. Surfing and downloading were now available from anywhere in the house, and I was very please to see that.

This router has more advanced features, such as storage sharing, which I didn't take advantage of, and I didn't access any advanced set-up features with this router. The good of that is I didn't need to do any advanced configuration. It truly was plug and play with the push of a button.

I highly recommend this range extender to people with a similar housing situation, where they need wi-fi access throughout their multi-story home.
