    Comments about NETGEAR ReadyNAS 100 Series 2-Bay Diskless Network Attached Storage RN10200:

    Like many small business users, I was confused as storage devices rapidly increased in storage capacity, speed and reliability. Cloud based Internet back up offering also abound, but which can you trust with your data? Is offsite automated back up of every PC for a small firm worth the no hassle price? In my view, off site online backups from a vendor may be o.k. for photos and stuff, but is mature enough to trust with important or private financial or health data? Not yet, was my conclusion, but I already had several HD back and/or storage solution without a disk. None was a single use private cloud with security this offered for my LAN and eight computers.

    Simple instructions, easy to install and connect. I've not used long enough to comment on reliability, but so far no glitches.

    NETGEAR ReadyNAS gets an A+++++++++++

    The NETGEAR ReadyNAS 100 Series 2-Bay Diskless Network Attached Storage RN10200 by Netgear is perfect for the classroom. This allows us the freedom to store and use things from a variety of computers. It also saves space on all of the classroom computers allowing them to run faster by not being bagged down. One of my classes is yearbook. This gives us one central location to dump and store all the large picture files until needed at a later date. You can not go wrong with making sure you have your important files backed up either. If you need external memory and the peace of mind that it will be there even if your computer does crash; then I highly recommend this product.

    Comments about NETGEAR ReadyNAS 100 Series 2-Bay Diskless Network Attached Storage RN10200:

    This Netgear NAS drive bay works great on LAN. The plus side is your can swap out the drives for more storage if one drive fills up. Works and installs just as easily as any other NAS drive and it will keep files off your main hard drive. This saves losing files and you can backup the drives in the bay as well. The downside of this drive bay is to not drop it. The last one I had died from a small drop which killed the controller card inside. So be sure to get the extended warranty which will cover you for any drops.

    This is a good system and works well with your LAN and computer system. Setup is easy but you do have to purchase drives separately. Also just be sure to never drop it, even a small drop will damage the controller inside the unit. If you need extra storage then this unit is the way to go.

    Comments about NETGEAR ReadyNAS 100 Series 2-Bay Diskless Network Attached Storage RN10200:

    Great for storing files(pics,video,documents) for home use or remote access. Cloud system is nice considering no monthly fees and the data is in your home and not a corporate server somewhere. Mobile apps could use some improvements if you use a tablet like i do mostly. Mobile apps are primarily designed for phone use and say so in heading. Will work with tablets but sometimes has trouble loading directories. Remote access with a pc is smooth and as if its on your local network. If you intend on having a lot of throughput(multiple users) i would get the higher models with more processing power.
