    How is this different from the Netgear WN3000RP Universal WiFi Range Extender?

    • A:

      they both work the same way. The major difference is that the WN1000RP's speed is 54 mb/sec max since it's meant for phones. The other extenders (specifically meant for whole home use) connect at 150, 300, 450 mb/sec. Also, the strength of the mobile unit's signal isn't as good as the higher end units.

      According to the manufacturer's website, there's a number of differences between the 3000RP and the 1000RP, including the fact that the 3000RP weighs .32 lbs heavier, and the 3000RP requires a wireless adapter to function. The 3000RP is also more expensive and considered a newer, upgraded model of the 1000RP.
