Power and connectivity!

If you need to replace your NOOKcolor's AC adaptor and cable or would just like to have an extra set, the Power and Connectivity Kit is the perfect choice. The AC wall adapter bears an etched "nook" logo and has retractable prongs for added convenience. When you attach the custom micro USB adapter to your NOOKcolor and begin charging, the "n" logo on the connector lights up with an orange tint; when the logo turns green, you know your device is fully charged. For added convenience, the cable also syncs with your computer.

I really like this charger, in that its both usable as a computer USB hookup and a wall charger. However, I wish that Nook had not used a proprietary end on the Nook and thus made this only usable for one product. This means that when I travel I have to take multiple chargers. Other than that, the product works very well and is very durable.

Poor design.

Very poor design. I have replaced this powercord three times since Dec 2011. After 10 or 15 charges the cord end that goes to the Nook either falls apart or just dosn't work anymore....Read complete review

Very poor design. I have replaced this powercord three times since Dec 2011. After 10 or 15 charges the cord end that goes to the Nook either falls apart or just dosn't work anymore. I have never seen anything fail as much as this cord. My wife LOVES her Nook, it's just the powercord that is junk. I'm sure I'm not the only one that this has happened to.

              It wasn't optional that I buy this power kit. The one that came with the NOOK broke and I'm also forced to buy the detachable 120v adapter which I don't need because the one that came with the NOOK is fine.
