The Nook HD+ is a terrific buy, especially with holiday discounts. The screen resolution is quite simply beautiful. I've owned other e-readers and tablets over the past several years ranging from 6-10 inches in size. I'm very impressed with ease of holding the weight and size of the Nook HD+.

I've been fairly satisfied with the quality of apps that come with the HD+ and the ones I've downloaded from Barnes & Noble. I would prefer also to have access to apps with which I'm familiar from the Google Play Store.

I've purchased a cover/stand that works well. I had a difficult time finding a compatible bluetooth keyboard. An iPad keyboard was recommended to me and it works! I'm still waiting for the HDMI adapter to be available. I'm not bothered by the HD+ not having cameras. With my hearing impairment, I would prefer the speakers to have better volume, but headphones work fine.

The Nook HD+ has worked well for me for a variety of uses from editing docs, watching videos, and reading email, to reading ebooks. I've loaded many videos, music files, ebooks, and docs onto a memory card that I've put in my Nook.

My wife has enjoyed it so far. She found it easy to use and set up. Would reccomend it to a friend. Processor seems to be fast when compared to other tablets including the Ipad 2 it seems faster to me that the I pad 2 or 3. I have not been able to compare it to the 4th or 5th generation Apple but the processor is as fast and the screen has the same resolution so..... it will be interesting to compare the 2.

Having used the Nook simple touch for a long time I am quite pleased with the reading experience on the Nook HD+, especially for reading magazines. However, not all magazines will hold your last viewed page (Time and New Yorker don't, for instance) and I don't know if this is B and N responsibility or the magizine publisher.
For other tablet related uses of the Nook I find using an N2A card to run Android makes for a vastly superior experience. As a Nook the tablet is slow and frequently unresponsive when using a web browser (no such problem with the N2A card). Having the whole android market available for apps is clearly a plus. So I do recommend this tablet unequivocally if you plan to use it as a reader. For the broader range that a tablet offers I recommend using it with a card that turns it into a well functioning android device not limited by B and N's version of the OS.

I purchased two of the Nook HD+ as Christmas presents for my two daughters (9 years old and 7 years old). After considerable research they seemed like excellent cost saving alternatives to the Apple Ipad. After owning the device I now feel that the Nook HD+ is in my opinion as good or better than and Apple Ipad and much less than half of the price!!! The Nook is so very easy to set and use that both of my daughters were using them just a half hour after opening them as gifts. They are able to read books, browse the web (with supervision), watch Netflix TV shows and movies, play games, and much more!!! The built in parental controls are great and give me piece of mind. I highly recommend this product for children and adults!!!
