Simply make sure the original Nook glass is perfectly clean. I had the salesperson apply it for me. He carefully cleaned the glass w/ the microfiber cloth, using a BIT of electronic screen cleaner sprayed on to the towel. Then aligned the plastic and used a credit card to 'scrape' down the film and remove the bubbles.

Don't use cleaning cloth

The cleaning cloth included turned my fingers black! It shed so much lint onto the screen while cleaning off the fingerprints that it ruined the first screen saver film I applied. I finally got out a microcloth designed for eyeglasses and cleaned the lint from the screen. By slowly peeling the backing off as I pressed it to the newly cleaned screen I was able to get the second film on. This is not worth the cost when 2 out of the 3 items in the box had to be thrown out. Nook should apply the savers in their clean room and sell replacements with better instructions when we need them.
