I have tried other cheaper brands of this product and had many complaints that the cheaper product falls apart. For the quality of this product it is worth spending a little more for it.

I have been using the Ampad Computation Books for 10 years. They have a nice thick cover and the binding is stitched so the pages lay flat. When I couldn't find books like I had used, I ordered the National Computation Books. However, the covers are much thinner than the Ampad and the binding is more ridged so you have to bend the pages to make them flat for writing. I was going to use them anyways but walked the isles one last time and found my treasured Ampad Computation Books at the bottom of the shelf. Not sure why Staples only sells the National Computation Books online but I would recommend visiting the store and buying the Ampad Computation Books instead.

If this notebook had a few pages at the front for a 'table of contents', I'd give it 5 stars

I have been using these since College Chem 101, (nearly 30 years ago now), and am very glad they are still made. The notes and test results I have accumulated over the years are priceless and are kept organized in a number of these.
