When I'm working on a computer if there is a problem with the Network Card. Everytime I replace with this card and load the drivers I'm up and running. My main machine the onboard LAN Card kept kicking me off the Internet. Updated the drivers and flashed the bios plue re-imaged my machine. Still same prob. Installed this Netgear Card and problem solved. Very Simple, Less Stress...
Also can't say enough good things about the Netgear USB wireless. I velcro the antenna to the right corner of the back of my display on my old laptop which did not come with a wireless card. Could have went PCMCIA Card but since this laptop is in my vehicle I wanted the antenna to have line of site while sitting on the stand I built. Trick Stuff.

Bought two; first failed to install XP Pro SP3 - defect in install process for v 6.1 Download and hand installed 6.2, finally worked after 3 hours of frustraion to get GIG performance. Second unit no success at all negotiating GIG with Netgear switch - no connection at all. Have spent > 8 hours getting no where and I work in IT - 30 yrs experience. It does work 100 bps with another switch, but I bought GA311 for GIG. Replaced it with Linksys EG1032 with flawless performance at < 10 minutes work. Don't buy GA311.
Comments about Netgear Gigabit Ethernet PCI Adapter:
Default driver for 2008 server x64 killed on board nic. Had to downgrade to an xp driver for this card to work. Nice enough card though after the driver issued was resolved.

Comments about Netgear Gigabit Ethernet PCI Adapter:
Highly frustrating experience. Followed instructions for software and hardware. Errors that couldn't find driver. [...] Still doesn't work and lost internet and network connectivity. Wasted entire evening on this. Uninstalled and reinstalled twice. Finally gave up. Going back and will buy Linksys instead. Outsourcing is a loser. Netgear lost sales; I lost time.
