Comments about Netgear NeoTV PRIME with Google TV:

A few weeks ago I purchased the Roku 3. Amazing piece of hardware. So I saw this and had some reward certificates as well as a 20% off coupon so I thought what the heck I only am 26.00 out of pocket. I figured it would at least be worth that. I was wrong!! I am the Technology Facilitator for an elementary school and I am not a stranger to setup and configuration as well as connectivity issues. I tried this little black box on 3 televisions and it was very hard to manipulate the remote or stay connected. Picture quality streaming from Amazon Prime HD was HORRIBLE! At first glance this looks like it is too good to be true with all of the features included on this little remote, well it is!! The track pad on the front of the remote is way too sensitive, you can hardly use the directional arrows. I could say more but none of it is good. Bottom line buy the Roku living without youtube is worth the much better experience. I going to try to take it back if I can make sure my data is not stored on it and if I can get credit for my $80 in reward certificates. Otherwise I guess I will hardwire it into my wireless modem , connect it to my set top box and use it when I have a lot of time on my hands.
*Not having the Time Warner App was a BIG disappointment .
*I wanted to use this as a set top box not be dependent on it to use most of the features, PIP, Live TV, Guide, etc.

Netgear NeoTV PRIME with Google TV requires a TV with a digital tuner so it cannot be adapted to an analog TV.
