Had the Staples tech install it. Seems to work well in Windows 7. Has a sort of antenna that sits on the top of our desktop that improves reception, no doubt. Getting it working did take a call to Comcast, though; no surprise there.

I bought this product after weird behavior on my new Vista Ultimate PC was set up. I transferred my old Zyxel G PCI adapter to the new PC. From day one, the Zyxel was intermittent dropping the connection - I wasted a lot of time trying to fix the link.
I ended up buying this Netgear and it was a dream come true. Instead of installing the PC, I downloaded the latest drivers from Netgear, installed them, then plugged in the adapter. Now my connection is solid with a consistent 24x7 -60dB signal! I dont know if its the diffrence of G versus N, but this product is amazing!
The PC is in a garage with lots of machinery and very challenging for the WiFi to penetrate but the antenna on this product does a great job.
The cable is ~1 meter long. Perfect for a floor tower under the desk and placing the antenna on the wall or on top of the desk where there is better reception.
The card with the latest drivers works flawlessly with Vista (it IS certified compatible) so dont be scared by the other reviews. I was concerned about this after reading the older reviews. It seems that Netgear worked out all the bugs.

Signals Recieved From Outer Space

This adaptor finds signals in my area I didn't even know existed. I live in a very large house and my new desktop was far out of range of any typical adaptor. The EzTech at Staples suggested this one and installed it for me. When I brought it home, it not only found my secure network at full strength--but also my neighbors and their neighbors..and I think the secure network of a local biz up the road. I'm impressed! Thanx eztechs for making it EASY!

Unit is easy to set up although in my case it did not connect to the one button set up. I had to go to the set up manually and find my network. Signal strength is very good considering I had to go through three different systems to find this one. The other two were always weak signals.

I have used several wireless adapters, but this is by far the best I have ever used. Easy installation, reliable and consistent connection speed, and significantly better signal strength and range over my prior adapters. I would recommend this product to anyone using a home or small business wireless network!
