I purchased this tablet with the intentions to watch movies during my commute to and from work, now I find myself gaming on the tablet more than anything else.

The 7" form factor, combined with the light weight of the tablet, makes it very comfortable to hold for long preiods of time.

Screen:
Video and pictures, look fantastic on the 1280x800 screen. Text is rendered very crisply, and is easy to read, w/o having to zoom in. Viewing angles are wide and splendid.

Performance:
The quad core(+1) cpu, 12 core gpu, combined with android 4.1(jelly bean), offer a truly pleasant user experience, rivaling even the transformer infinity. Flicking through home screens, and widgets is seemless. Apps open very briskly, and web pgs load in a snap, thanks in part to the default chrome browser. Gaming on this tablet, has been pure bliss for me, I play gta 3, modern cambat 3, shadowgun, dead trigger, and many more titles, with nary a hiccup. Although during extended gaming, The back gets a little warm, but not hot.

Battery:
After cycling the battery for the past wk, I get about 8&1/2 hrs of med to heavy use(gaming, web browsing, and video playback). Casual users will get closer to the advertised 10hrs. The tablet chargers from 3% to 100% in about 3hrs(very good).

Design/Build quality:
Attractive design, Light weight, and thanks to the rubberized texture on the back, this tablet is a pleasure to hold. The volume rocker, and power button, is easy to locate, and offer nice tactile feedback.

minor(Cons):
No sd card, although 16gbs is enough for me personally(most of my content is in the cloud), I think the omission is a little apple-esq on google's part. Some users report of build quality issues, including loose display panels, in fact my unit has a weak spot along the left side, but its not a deal breaker for me. The speaker on this tab is anemic, my cell phone has louder output, but with a good pair of headphones you're golden.

All in all I am very satisfied with my purchase. I plan to buy another one for my fiancee(she loves this thing), once google re-stocks the 16gb version. Props to google, for the $25 play store credit, and 4.1(jellybean). The gn7 will satisfy current android users, as well as people looking to get their feet wet, in mountain view's eco-system. Cheers.

Over all the Nexus 7 I have had been a great tablet. Purchased it in Spet of 2012 and used it up until a week ago... battery started drainig really fast and now it wont even charge. Now onto customer support. I did not buy the extended warranty because I never do for these things as the devalue so quickly plus it had a 12 month warranty from Asus. Never ever buy a product from ASUS (Google Nexus 7 and other devices) unless you want to receive horrible customer service! I was a big fan and haven't many troubles out of their products but boy if you do you can pretty well just flush your hard earned money down the toilet. I have ben trying for a week to return the devioce for service and they keep throwing up excuses. To the folks at Staples I would tell you to drop them as they provide very little if any help. As a result of their poor customer service a pretty good prodcut gets a 1 Star rating from me.

The table has proven to be a convenient and easy to use. I am able to read when and where I want to due to the great screen. I use to be anti-tablet but my son talked me into getting the Nexus 7 and I have been converted. This makes my total number of operating computers to 4, a desktop, a laptop, and a netbook along with the Nexus 7. The Nexus is the 2nd most used of all the others.

I bought this Nexus 7 because it has gotten great reviews. The Nexus 7 would be my backup device. Battery life could be longer.

I think The Samsung Galaxy tab 2 7" is a Mk much superior tablet that is made better and functions better.

I am returning this tablet to staples. They are letting me swap into a Lenovo 2107. I would have rather swapped into a Samsung Galaxy tab 2 8 GB 7".

This is really good for ther money. It is easy to use even fo someone who isn't the most tech savvy person. Lots of good games available. Good to take with you, it's not to big or heavy. It makes a good alternative to a laptop on vacation. The instructions book could be more detailed such as how to work the camera. This is a good tablet for adults as well as children. It seems to be good and durable. It has custom screens savers like ipads so it must be popular enough that it doesn't have to use generic things.

Table is fast and very handy for travel. The only down side for me is file management. You can download file managers, but not that great. Other than that very happy, nice graphics too!

  I bought mine a few months ago and it's got 4.2.2 on it. Not sure if I ran an update for that or not. I had to download xScope Pro (3 dollar browser app available from the Play store) in order to stream Amazon Instant Video since you can't do it on Google Chrome.

  This tablet doesn't come with a camera app. If you go to the Google Play Store, you can download an app called Camera Launcher for Nexus 7, which should allow you to use your camera.

  The camera/video camera is front facing as specified on the carton. That means I shouldn't have clicked a picture first thing in the morning while looking at the screen. Deleting it was even more complex....
