                  Hi there I went to the Nikon USA website and found out that the Nikon 55-220 AF-S DX VR Zoom Nikkor Lens is compatible with the Nikon 1 J1. I compared the pictures from sites like Staples to double check that I had the right product. From what I can tell, this should be compatible for your camera. I hope this helps.
