This camera is a good purchase for the price with one exception.....I am disappointed at the battery life--even with higher quality batteries they do not last long. My favorite feature is the zoom and crop--I was able to capture dolphins in the ocean no problem. Overall, nice photos--but would seek out a rechargeable battery system in the future.

I love the camera and the only downside is the short battery life. The original batteries lasted about 40 pictures and two short videos. The second set lasted slightly longer as I purchased a high grade electronic battery. I am used to my old camera with a rechargeable battery and a spare that I carried. Also when the batteries become weak the functions do not work properly and there is no warning just a black screen. I purchased a 16gb card which gives me plenty of space to shoot for weeks possibly months without downloading. Overall a very nice camera.

Purchased to record precious moments of my newborn twins and the video wouldn't work! Camera shuts off after few seconds.

Very slow shutter speed if not using flash. Blurred pictures if baby moves. Solution need to use the flash on everything which increase shutter speed and then photos are nice and crisp.

Need to replace the batteries VERY FREQUENTLY. Went thru 20 batteries in first month - with 500 photos. Called customer service and they give numerous excuses from type of batteries to video card as to why I have problems.

Sent camera in for servicing and they say no issues but works better when I received it back.

Discovered that you need brand new batteries to take videos. Just purchased rechargeable ones, so wont be wasting so many. When attempting video, will shut off stating batteries exhausted HOWEVER if you turn camera off and back on, they are good enough to take photos just not videos! I then need new batteries to take a video.

Wanted to return but Staples would not take back since over 14 days. Hmmm..... purchased day before my C-section for twins! and when up and about 3 weeks later, was told they couldn't do anything.

Didn't end up with any videos of my girls sadly until they were 2 weeks old and I used a different camera.

Would not recommend to anybody. Also when I called Nikon customer service, had to talk to 3 or 4 people about same issues comprising a minimum of an hour's time.

I bought this product for vaction because of its size. It worked great. I have a Canon 60D that I use for my professionsl photos was to big and heavy to carry on a trip. This little camera was perfect was impressed with picture quality. I am very happy with it.
