I'm a perfectionist techie who has owned many tablets, smartphones & currently own Nexus 7, Dell Venue 8 Pro,Galaxy Note 3. I purchased the Nobis NB7022 S expecting a piece of junk. SHOCK! Before even turning it on, it comes with USB cable, MicroUSB to female USB adapter,a 110V to 5V charger that puts out 2000mA and a User Guide with large full color photos and large easy to read text! Tablet already has a screen protector on front. It had a 70% charge so I plugged into a/c turned it on, logged into my Google account and started loading apps that i suspectd might not run well or at all. SHOCK #2: DishAnywhere runs & loks as good on this tablet as it has on ANY of my other WiFi devices! This may be my best value purchase for all of 2014.

This tablet would be great if you could transfer apps to the SD card. But you can't. I contacted their tech support (which I could never get on the phone but they responded the following business day via e-mail) and they confirmed that the micro SD card will only hold your personal files.

Must be some pretty shoddy design as the instructions for getting your files there can even involve selecting one file at a time and transferring it via the included file explorer app. So you are left with 4GB of space for apps. Pretty silly considering this runs Android 4.4 and has all those other features.

Other than that, it has great features at a good price (use a coupon or wait for it to go on sale).

Comments about Nobis 7" 8GB Tablet:

The processor speed is a little slow. The touch screen is very responsive. it was easy to use. The preloaded software consumed almost half of the available internal storage. Since it's running android 4.4 apps can't be stored on the s/d card. You actual get a little over 4 mb of storage for your own stuff. The slot for the s/d card and the micro usb seem a little tight. I'm concerned that over time the ports will wear or get warped. That would make them useless. Charges quickly, but has about 4 hours of use time per charge.
I brought three of these at the 39.99 special buy price. One of them I had to return because when it was shut down, it would loose all the apps and the Wi-Fi set up. Customer support online was unremarkable. The trouble shooting guide was about 6 pages so it left a lot to be desired. Quality seem hit or miss. The one I returned took over 10 mins to boot up. The other two seem ok, but they are gifts for my 8 year old kids, so I won't know until after Christmas. That's about what any toy would cost so I'm willing to risk it.

Nice Tablet for the price!

Comments about Nobis 7" 8GB Tablet:

Went into Staples to buy some markers and saw this on sale for $40. I've been wanting something to use as an ereader, and figured it would work. Didn't expect much, but I was very pleasantly surprised!

Remember, this is a very inexpensive tablet. If you want everything, don't expect to find it in a $40 tablet. That said, read on.....

Brought it home, charged it up, and started seeing what it could do. I have a very fast wireless connection, and at first the Nobis was very, very slow. So much so that I almost brought it back. After all, it has a 1.2 GHZ quad processor running Kit Kat. I expected it to be reasonably quick, but it wasn't. I had purchased a high speed 32 gig SD to go with it, so, on a whim, I installed the card and started it back up. Voila! That seemed to do the trick. It sped right up and worked as well as our expensive Samsung Galaxy Tablet. Clicked right through web sites and downloaded and installed apps quickly.

Comes with several useful apps built in, and so far every app I've downloaded from Google Play has worked well, except for GPS. Apparently the Nobis does not have GPS capabilities. But hey! It was $40!

I was also pleasantly surprised by the quality of the display. Watched some hi def YouTube on it and the picture was very nice.

Haven't done an endurance test on it, but the battery seems to be good for about 3 hours of constant internet use. Not a real long time, but again, it was $40! And it charges up quickly; a couple of hours does it.

In addition to the charger, it comes with several cables, including an adaptor cable that lets you plug in a standard USB device, like a jump drive or external hard drive.

Bottom line? For the money this is a nice little tablet. It really works. And you can't beat the price!

Comments about Nobis 7" 8GB Tablet:

I purchased the tablet primarily to store and play tunes for band practice (to learn songs, not to record the band). Works great, has somewhere around 5 GB usable storage, accepts a 16 GB micro SD. Easily choose & play songs from the internal drive or SD card. Start, stop, repeat songs or parts of. Just what I needed. Seems you have no control over mic input gain regardless of what any app is designed to do so you can only control gain by getting far enough away from the sound source, not handy for audio or video recording of live music. Too bad, a functional mic input gain would be a huge improvement. Otherwise I'm very happy with tablet. Has the latest version of Android, 4.4, Kit Kat. Great browsing, lots of free apps, pretty easy to work with. Great buy, @ $50 sale price.

Quite acceptable, very good for price

Comments about Nobis 7" 8GB Tablet:

We bought this as an experiment to replace a Google Nexus our kids had broken and it has done well. The screen isn't as pretty, the battery life isn't as good, the accuracy of touch screen isn't quite as good ... but it was $50, for which I can get 3 or more for the price of the Nexus, which with 7 kids is nice. If you buy it expecting it to be exactly like the more expensive tablets, you'll be disappointed, but if you buy it expecting it to be "enough", you should be pleased with it. We haven't dropped it, so I can't speak to it's durability.
