                  Yes. Punch holes in the file folder, push the prongs through to the inside of the folder. The papers need to be punched too.

                  Yes, you would be able to attach to files with a hole punch. However Staples item 105072 are Self-Adhesive Fasteners, 2 3/4" x 2" which may work better for your needs.

                I need prong fasteners that have longer "arms" (can hold more paper). Your website states there are multiple sizes, but I cannot find that information. The 2 3/4 base is fine, but I need at least 3 - 4" sides.
