In normal temperatures and humidity, almost immediately after being out of its wrapping plastic, the top of this case began warping so that the corners of the writing surface no longer lie flat. It's a little thing, as the surface isn't bad for writing on, but there's nothing remotely like a seal or sound fit between parts. The compartments aren't specifically designed for anything, so they have no way to secure things from rattling about, though the latches are very tight. The sheet-pockets in the lid are barely able to store a full sheet of paper due to the plastic rivets holding the pockets in place. I can't see this surviving field use for very long. Other than that, it's... Well, not the best, in my opinion.

The clip is good, though. A strong metal spring and a ridge behind the clip keeps paper in place at the top.

There is one area on the case that doesn't close completely. I thought the first one I bought was defective but the second one came in the same way.

i love this product, i have bought so many others, metal did not stand up to what we put this product thru, i have submitted a purchase order request thru my business to have each CDL Driver employed have this product in hand. I am beyond satisfied...keep carrying awesome quality products...

I purchased 10 of these clipboards. They are used for different reasons: mail, keeping to do items, homework, business, etc. They are very versatile and help keep things together.
