Comments about OKI MC361 Color Laser All-in-One Printer:
This printer makes you really appreciate the humor of Office Space. I purchased an OKI MC361 last year: we have had an issue with it from the beginning. Most annoying of which is it has difficulty recognizing the yellow toner, and yes it is OKI toner. I'm done messing with it and will be throwing it away and buying something other than an OKI printer. So if you are in the market, I can tell you which dumpster I tossed it in.

Comments about OKI MC361 Color Laser All-in-One Printer:
After doing much research and pricing different laser (led) all-in-ones, I pulled the trigger on this one and I'm glad I did. Going by the reviews, there were three concerns that I had before buying this: Installation issues, difficulty scanning to PC and noise. After some time with the device, here is my experience: The installation was indeed a little difficult. (I am referring to the install for direct USB connection to my PC. I have not engaged in any other network connectivity yet.) I'm not sure exactly why but the installation software from the supplied Oki CD would not install properly. Apparently, this particular install software does not play nice with Windows 7 and Windows 8. I'm pretty tech savvy and was going to dig into this myself but decided to call Oki tech support first and after a slightly lengthy hold, a very friendly and extremely knowledgeable person instructed me on how to manually install everything... which to my pleasant surprise... was not difficult at all. The second issue is scanning to the PC: You have to engage in a few key presses on the printer itself to get it into the correct 'mode' before you can scan. At first, I thought this was a little odd but after doing it a couple of times, it became second nature. You don't have to place the printer in the correct 'mode' for every single scan... it will stay in this mode until you change it, or turn the printer off. Also, I noticed that you can print after setting things up to scan so lately, I just simply get this out of the way every time I turn the printer on. Third, a couple of folks have mentioned that this printer can be a little noisy: I personally don't find this device to be any noisier than any other that I've used but of course, this is subjective. Keep in mind also that the resting state of this printer is much quieter than when it's actually printing or scanning something. It is very quiet in it's resting, powered up state...with just the faint noise of some internal fan. Couple of other odds n' ends: I've discovered that the toner for this is a little pricey but after having many inkjet cartridges dry up on me in the past from lack of use? I think this is acceptable. You might also want to be aware of the weight and dimensions of this product: It is not titanic in proportions but it is not small, nor is it a featherweight either. I was ok with this because I understand the business leaning purposes of this machine and I was more concerned with solidity and reliability than weight and size. Overall, this is a solid, good all-in-one with very good printing output and excellent scanning ability. (Particularly at 1200/1200 dpi) I hope this review helps anyone that reads this and minor quirks aside, I do highly recommend this product.
