We needed to replace our pre-fab computer table.I selected this desk for the price & attractiveness. Our home office doubles as a guest room. We have 3 other pcs of wood furniture;a wood/glass curio, a vertical media cabinet, a small antique breakfront. All are in similar wood tones & with sunlight coming through the wood blinds,the colors are close. I changed out the silver desk knob for a brass one that I antiqued to match, with a coat of grey then silver nail polish. I found assembly easy. The desk had 4 washers/screws for the legs. I found in a discount store floating shelves to match ($7) & desk-top wood accessories under $4. All items blend well & the room has a relaxing,calm feeling with the soft tones. I also purchased the hutch-great for hiding stapler,stampers,sticky pads,etc. Visible yet uncluttered. The room is grey-blue with plum-chocolate chair rail/floor moulding. Bam! This room is now striking. Underneath there is room enough for the PC,wastebasket & shredder. Fits perfect from the wall to window's edge.

My husband wanted a writing desk for his side of the den. I purchased from this company before and it wasn't too hard to set up so I found this one and first thing I had to return the hutch part because the hinges were bent.

I finally got the new one and sent the damaged one back, which was a breeze because they made it so easy to do, and putting the desk together was easy but the hutch was difficult to do. Took me most of the morning to finish it. The magnet that holds the drawer closed in front doesn't seem to work. So far its ok but I think when it loosens up it may be a problem.
