This is my first Oxo-Brand purchase (Oxo Good-Grips Clipbpoard) and I am very satisfied with it's overall performance. The surface area is much better than ordinary acrylic/plastic boards, like the ones on the market today that crack/chip at the slightest of pressure. The Clip is large and really "Bite's" (Holds) paper, and A Legal-Pad with ease. The built-in pen/pencil holder holds it in place, and is located under the clip so you won't knock it loose. The edge is lined with a soft rubber so it does two things... Keeps paper from sliding off and makes it very comfortable to hold or while sitting on your lap when writing. I've used every sort of clipboard on the market, and "Oxo" is as good as they get. Sure, Aluminium Clipboards are the stronger; But, they have their drawbacks as well... Loose one, and you're out quite a bit of money. Save some "loot" and get an "Oxo" instead.

My 8 year old uses it to play police officer. It definitely holds up. He is very ruff. He has had a number of other clipboards that broke.
