Very Basic File Cabinet

After my promotion, I needed a compact filing cabinet due to the limited space in the office. Thinking that I just needed the bare minimum, I ordered this cabinet thereby saving space and money. Well, it's true that you get what you pay for. The size was perfcet but the material and construction is quite flimsy and the lock can just about be picked with a paperclip so there goes the security of my files. The hanging folders also fall forward and off of the track when you open the draweres; there is nothing to stop them so you will have to buy additional pieces or rig your own. But if you just need some organization, it's not bad.

My co-worker was able to pick the lock when I was away from the office. Not secure, drawers don't slide well, nice looking but not worth the money.

We attempted to use these cabinets for filing in our law office, we use Pendaflex with them - however the drawers are not tall enough and the tabs on the top of the folders catch when opening the drawers - huge PAIN! They would be fine for home usage or if you do not fill the drawers very full.

Only the top 2 drawers lock, I really needed all 4 to be locking. The key gets stuck in the lock. The lock is not very secure, only keeps an honest person honest. With a really good pull I think someone can get into it. This is used in a small office, and will work well for organizing files.

      In less than 6 months, with only letter-sized files and paper, this file cabinet started to buckle under its own weight. It has completely fallen apart and we are unable to even open the drawers anymore. We are very disappointed and dissatisfied with this product.
