Make sure the stamp surface is free of lint. You can press a piece of scotch tape against it. Then put about 6 drops of red ink on the stamp surface. I spread it a little with the tip of the re-filler. Store the stamp upside down (i.e. stamp surface facing upward) overnight to allow the ink to soak in. If it is still too light, repeat with about 4 drops of ink. If you overwet it and it is too dark after leaving overnight, stamp it a few times on scrap paper.
