Well, since we are all putting our reviews under the 'yellow cartridge', that's where I'll put mine even though it applies to all CMYK. I thought long and hard about the 5 stars, but really, I think these cartridges and the C5500n are worth it. Unlike another reviewer, my initial 1500K cartridges (that came with the printer when new) are still going strong. PrintSupervision has shown all cartridges at 20% for over 6 months, but they keep going and going, the opposite of the other reviewers complaint! Maybe PrintSupervision improved toner level measurements? Before every print job, I decide if I want to use the TONER SAVING option, and do so about half of the time. You can also choose to always set the K cartridge for all black printing, preserving the color cartridges when needed, although I haven't set this option. I currently have a color page count of 1318 and mono of 380, so I definitely do more color printing, although maybe 75% of that is still color text documents, the other 25% large photos. If you're printing real estate flyers or similar, I can see why someone might burn more ink. I am waiting to install the 2000K cartridges ordered thru Staples, and wanted to start on those before writing the review, but 6 months have passed and the originals still haven't run out! Also, the 2K versions of these cartridges are now part of InkDrop.

No other choices

Don't understand how the color cartridges run out so quickly when I'm only printing in black ink. I rarely choose color printing but when one goes out, seems like all the other colors need replacing at same time even though I'm only printing in black. Very disturbing.... Once this printer goes, may not buy another because the color cartridges are so expensive and don't last long.
