works well for the simple tasks I need

I need to record Kindergarten children retelling a story; sometimes in not very quiet surroundings (copy machine, footsteps, nearby conversations, doors, rolling garbage cans...) and THOSE noises come thru LOUD and CLEAR while my little kiddos' voices retreat to the way-off and I cannot listen to the tape and write word-for-word what they've just said! Quite frustrating. But background noises are gone, I can hear them well enough... albeit on the HIGHest volume setting.

It worked better than expected. The reason for three stars was that the batteries that came with it did not work and we had to spend extra time stopping at a different store to get new ones. It is also a little confusing on how to separate different conversations and lectures into the file folders. Instructions to do so are confusing and a bit difficult to read. If your looking for something very sophisticated this is not it but it worked great for our needs and what it was used for. I recommend this for light duty work.

I've only had it for a few weeks, but so far, so good. It was inexpensive, and is easy to use. I like the big buttons on the front, making it easy to start a recording in a split second. Sound quality seems good as well. I use it for recording interviews, to support my work as a sports reporter. So far, I am pleased with the purchase.

I use digital recorders a lot. They're great at work to capture ideas on the fly. They're helpful bedside to verbally "jot down" that thought you want to capture. How many times are you lying in bed and remember something you need to do, or get an idea, only to forget it by morning? It frees up your mind to not have to keep repeating that thought, knowing it's captured on your recorder. This recorder is easy to use for recording, but has a poor erase function. Not only is erase difficult, it's confusing regarding which message you're erasing. Erasing messages in the dark is impossible. For that reason, I wouldn't buy this again.

I like all the features except the ones I can't understand!! I couldn't figure out how to make the screen get to how to delete and or erase what has been recorded and I don't need anymore. I press the orange "erase" button but it does not give me the screen prompts that are shown in the instruction leaflet. Under the picture of the PLAY/OK arrow it also says "set." How does one make it b "set" not play/ok? How do you get the little screen to say "erase," "file erase," and "erase done." I like your product and I know it's just that I am the problem cause I'm technologically challenged!
