More Comfortable to Use than Nitro

I've used PDF Converter Pro version 6 to annotate foreign language text with some success, but I needed more flexibility and additional features. I tried the competitive Nitro Product, but found it more limited and harder to use. Then I tried PDF Converter Pro Version 7, and I am now hooked on it. It has all the features I need. I have also used it to edit a small booklet with input from several sources. I am able to easily combine them all into a single PDF document, which became a high-quality, publisher-ready document.

I've been using Acrobat 6 for years, but I slicked my PC and now can't find the disc. Adobe is too expensive now.

After reading a bunch of reviews, I picked Converter Pro 7. It does most of the functions that I was used to in Acrobat 6 like re-ordering pages, inserting and extracting pages, form creation, etc.

But holy cow is this thing slow. Nothing on my PC runs as slowly as this program--not even Quickbooks. Acrobat 6 was way faster. Man, I wish I could find that disc...

I couldn't justify the cost of Adobe software and after downloading the trial of Nuance and learning it, I knew this was the best choice. I struggle with some of the command verbiage (still not sure how to compress a PDF or the best way to set up a signature) but it offers everything else I need, including printing to PDF to save information in a digital file.

does not copy PDF into MS Word accurately and does not keep format. Requires much correction n order for the converted PDF file to be readable and into an acceptable form.

Our son who is a Microsoft Engineer, markets Software and conversion scanning programs which work like Nuance Converter Pro. 7, except his stuff scans documents by the thouands. He says the Nuance package is as easy to use and effortless, as is his expensive, high-end software. So Nuance Pro 7 is hereby recommended by an engineer who knows his stuff!

I want to 'print' to a pdf format things on my computer screen... ie help, receipts and the like. This is to help me go paperless and I am wondering if this will for these types of things? I did read all the posts and did not see this. I need it to appear on my Print Menu so that I can save the item to a file xxx.pdf.
