I bought myself a laptop in August of 2007 to replace my old laptop which had become unreliable in use due to its problems with the display. I bought a nice middle line laptop, but unfortunately I didn't decide on a laptop with more memory. This purchase added an additional 1gb of memory to the laptop (which was very much needed), and I was so surprised on how easy it was to install. My only problem, which is due to the manufacturer's limitation of their product, I can't go any higher than 2gb of memory.

I do a lot of genealogy work and have a lot of windows open at once. Also, there are a lot of tables used in the programs that I use which now are retained in memory versus I was always waiting for them to be rebuilt before the additional memory.
