I bought this to give as a gift for the purpose of use in a HP digital camera, as well as storing pictures for a digital picture frame.

It stores a lot of pictures, and is relatively easy to use in regards to the frame; however, it is not compatible with my digital camera, as I keep getting a message indicating this. I have tried reformatting it several times, but to no avail. Therefore, I will use it just for the picture frame only.

I had a Kodak 4 Gb card with 2 speed. When I popped this in (4 speed) the camera complained it didn't recognize the SD card. I popped it out, then replaced batteries for good measure. Camera then recognized the card. So, I don't know whether the 2nd attempt to pop in the card or new batteries helped the camera recognize the new SD card.

  They refer to how fast the memory can store the data. 4 is better than 2. The higher the number the faster the memory.

  SD/HC is a High Capacity SD card. Some older camaras may not recognize srorage over 1GB. All camaras compatable with SD cards will recognize/use SD cards with capacity as low as 16MG and possibly less. Hope this helps

  If your device is SDHC compatible it will work with a standard SD card, but if it SD compatible it may not work with a SDHC card.
