I bought 512MB to add to my 192MB (somehow some of my original 256 went bad). When I added the new 512 in and then checked it, I found that I now have 448MB (192 + 256), but not even the new amount of 512MB. No idea why. I assumed I would have (192 + 512) 704MB now.

              I was ready to throw away this laptop. I decided to take it into Staples to see what could be done. They checked this computer and told me it just needed memory. I bought the memory thinking that if it did not revive my dead computer, I would just get rid of it. To my happy surprise my computer now works like it is supposed to. It is not the fastest computer but plays video well and is fine for surfing the net. I gave this laptop to my oldest daughter for the price of the memory. Thanks Staples for reminding me about memory!
