Only true con I have seen is the slider-protection still leaves the plug end open. This makes me reticent to carry it in a pocket or other place where sediment may get into end and cause damage on plug-in. Otherwise is good capacity for the money and easy to use. I use for storage and transfer of homework assignments as well as portability of installed programming editors (installed directly on flash drive [Yes, that does work if you are careful about installation. Always double-check locations for installation.])

I use this product for file transfers and temporary storage at work. The data speed is good, and there are no driver or reliability issues. Unfortunately, the sliding case and simple locking mechanism work against each other, and make it difficult to open/close. My cover snapped when it was stuck open and when it finally slid forward suddenly, it overran the lock and broke. The memory is unaffected by this cover failure.

It was very low cost for the data size, and I needed something quickly, in-store. I'd had the product for about 2 weeks when it broke.

    I find this flash drive so handy and it saves me money. When researching genealogy, I do not have to print off pages in the library but use my flash drive to download information. Also, it saves time because I do not have to retype the downloaded material, just "upload" into my data base.

      This produce is easy to use, easy to carry, and worked well for tansferring lots of photos and videos. I liked the price when it was on sale and will continue to use it. My only problem was the I had difficulty attaching a carrying strap for it and did not always like to keep in in my computer bag or camera case. I am happy to report that I have purchased several of these flash drives and am planning to give some of the to nieces and nephews was re graduating from college and high school this year.

      I brought my computer in for service. The staff member suggested that I purchase an external drive just to be on the safe side in the event that the repair might cause all data on my hard-drive to be lost. Not wishing to run the risk of losing my doctoral dissertation (in progress), I asked the staff member for assistance in selecting the proper capacity.

      It is nice to see how Staples is interested in looking out for its customers, selling only what the customer needs.

                Yes, definitely. That is precisely what I use it for. As a college IT student, I carry almost all of my homework with me in flash drive form [recommend having secondary flash drive of equal capacity to serve as backup copy!(keep in location that is always with you, mine is on car key fob, and back-up files regularly) Easiest way is to simply erase backup drive once a week, and then paste copy of all files from primary. This way you are sure not to miss any!]
                Can also install needed programs directly to flash drive in order to make them portable [that way I can work on my programming editors w/o having to have them installed on the computer terminal I am using if not at home].
