Card works very well for photographic images, but transfer times for large AV files is slow. I am using this with a high-speed camera and, although it works, probably wouldn't recommend it if you need very fast transfer times.

I read an article about using an SD card or flash drive as a startup drive. It was recommended as an easy way to have an emergency start up with you whereever. I wanted to try using a SD card so I could run my utility program "Drive Genius" to clean up my Macbook's hard drive and most importantly defrag it. It is typically recommended that you don't defrag the same drive you are using as startup. I Copied Apple OS 10.6 on this 32GB PNY SD card. I had plenty of space and put my "Drive Genius" as well. It worked like a charm. I was able to run "Drive Genius" and do all the maintence I wanted to do on my Macbook. I also defraged my Macbook hard drive. Great product!
