The Pacific Image ImageBox 9MP Standalone Scanner keeps converting your slides and negatives to digital files simple. The ImageBox 9MP scanner requires no computer for use, and no software. Simply place your original negative, slide, or photo in the scanning area, under the flip-top, and let the ImageBox do its thing. You'll be able to preview your scan on the built-in 2.7" LCD. The aforementioned media, up to 4 x 6" in size, will scan at a resolution of up to 9Mp and save to an SD card (not included). When you're ready to transfer the files to computer for sharing or editing simply use the drag-and-drop method, via the SD card, and you're good to go.

              Some Slides come out great. Others, such as on a hazy day come out with aserious blue tint to them. The manual, while comming in 3 or 4 languages does not explain much on setting the options

                Takes 45 sec per negative, but prints only a few seconds. The negatives we did were 25 years old, and several of the scratches were still seen, but these were easily fixed w/a photo program. We will be using it to transfer all of our old pictures so they don't degrade further over the years.

                I am very pleased with this scanner. You only need an SD card like you use in a digital camera. I am able to scan about 6 pictures per minute (300 per hour if you're well organized). A little less for slides. Film (negatives and positives) take a bit longer to set up. The digital image quality is as good as I was able to get with a good scanner only this is much easier. Even allows some adjustment (light/dark) etc. There's no setup and it's easy to figure out how to use it. Great product!
