My husband needed a phone for his workshop & this fit the bill.This has a good range, nice & clear all the way into the back yard.Best features - holds lots of #'s (my old phone only held 10), when you program #'s into the base unit you can transfer them to the handsets, no need to update each individually,& nice loud ringer on all phones (important to us,he needed that in his shop). All phones have a light up display which is large, easy to read. My biggest gripe is no "do not disturb" button (used during nap time). To shut off the ringer completely you need to do a few steps thru the menu, which is a "pain" (but guess we'll get used to it). Also, the light flashes when there's a new vm, however, nothing indicates there's old messages unless you hit the message button to check. It would be nice if there was a display to indicate # of old messages (my husb checked vm & left 1 for me, however, I didn't get it 'til a few days later 'cause I never "hit the button" to check). Just a few minor things we wish we had, but overall, it's a good phone & we're please with it.

This is the best corded/cordless combo I bought in several years. I tried several unit including some Uniden, AT&T, GE etc. None of those come close to quality of this unit.

Cordless units take rechargable "AAA" batteries,so you can buy hi-capacity and replace for cheap.
Handset function button design could have been better.

I'll go ahead and use this as my home phone, but I had hoped to be able to use the base as my business phone. It however does not have a headset jack, that I do require. I know I have put this in several places, but it is a question that I and others had had but didn't seem to be answered.

Got a new panasonic because I had older panny and it was great. Chose this one because i wanted one with a cord so i don't have to always search the kids rooms for missing handsets. wish it had direct scrolling of CID like my old one vs having to go into the menu. Like the time and date display. Unfortunately, no way to select special ring for certain numbers. Also, wish it was obvious when you had older messages saved. If it was less menu intensive and there were more direct buttons for commonly accessed functions it would be better. If menu simplicity is important, i'd look into other phones.

We really needed these. We have been in our home for 33 years, and had to call the phone company because of a problem with our existing phones. They came and found a short in two of the old phones that were causing the problem. The old phones would ring once and stop. If you picked them up you could still hear a phone ringing. The sound had gotten very bad. This purchase solved all of these problems. I can hear people much clearer than before. The fact that this could be used as a wall phone was what made me pick this model. I was very easy to install and simple to figure out.

I am almost totally delighted with my KX-TG1062 telephone system. The clarity of the sound is truly excellent through all modes: corded handset, cordless handset through the receiver, and cordless handset through the speaker; also through the speaker that plays back messages. Markedly superior to the clarity from two other systems that I tried and returned (one from AT&T, the other also from Panasonic).
Only one issue: I screen all my calls. (Cheaper than caller ID!) On my previous Panasonic systems, I never heard my out-going message. On this model I do hear it, a minor irritation several times a day. Tech support tells me there is no way to turn off the play-back of the out-going message when screening calls.
